I’m working on a joule thief with a 5 volt regular powered by one AA battery. It probably has been done in a similar way but i will tweat it and see if I do better.

My friend recently got his touch pro 2 for around $350 from Craig list . The best thing that I strike me the most is the 3.6 inch display with a whopping 800×480 resolution. My friend told me it had a lag between the landscape and portrait mode while it switches. I tried rotating the screen back and forth to see the lag and clearly it does lag more compare to my android g1 overall . Another thing that I notice while he was using the phone, is that he was using a stylus with the screen; right off the bat , I know it is a resistance touch screen compare to the iPhone and Andriod.

The reason why the mod is so popular because removing the actual cpu from the ux is very hard because it is actually solder to the motherboard so the person who did the mod has some soldering skill

I have my phone for almost a year and I must say i really like it because of the flexibility of use with the capacitive touch screen and a physical keyboard. With the custom firmware such as

cynogen mod , it give my phone more feature then I can ask for. It feels like every month or so, I get a new feature for my phone.
